Recent events and actions by leading Democrats have
once again driven me to the computer. It didn’t take long after 9-11-01 for
the Democrats to start in again on their agenda. They are trying to drive a
stake though the heart of the American economy. When you look at the attack
on the World Trade Center by Usama bin Laden and what that attack did to the
economy, not to mention the terrible loss of life, I sometimes wonder if that
mad man is a Democrat. Leading Democrats are still standing in the way of
legislation that would re-vitalize our economy. Now Dick Armey one of the many
of Congressional Soldiers who have been fighting for another tax cut is stepping
down at the end of this Congress. I don’t know about you but I was very happy
to get that last check from the IRS. We need more Congressmen like Dick Armey,
Congressmen who have the guts to stand up to the money-grabbing Democrats. To make matters worse the Democrats are from top to bottom wanting a jury trials for those non-citizen enemies who allegedly committed terrorist acts such as the attack on the World Trade Center. In the past enemies who have attacked this country, in time of war, when caught are almost always brought before a military tribunal. The reason for this is that those who commit war crimes are considered soldiers of the enemy. Not to be out done the liberal media is now
manufacturing the news buy misquoting Attorney General Ashcroft. Ashcroft’s real words were "To
those who pit Americans against immigrants and citizens against non-citizens, to
those who scare peace-loving people with phantoms of lost liberty, my message is
this. Your tactics only aid terrorists, for they erode our national unity and
diminish our resolve." It has been reported that
several liberal media outlets are rewording that quote to read "Well,
if you oppose me, if you stand up to me, you may as well be giving ammunition to
America's enemies." Shouldn’t those
media outlets be considered propaganda agents of the enemy? It is not that hard
to get quotes right especially in this day of high technology. If they disagree
with newsmakers such as Ashcroft let them say so in their editorial pages. What
they are doing to themselves is damaging their own creditability and driving
away those who would turn to them for news. In the last few days the Democrats are attacking Ashcroft saying that he is trashing the U.S. Constitution by detaining non-citizens for expired visas, while those same Democrats are wanting Ashcroft to turn over the names of those who have purchased or are desiring to purchase firearms claiming that there may be some terrorists included in that list, to me that sounds like Germany of the 1930’s and Hitler’s rise to rule. Who is to say what name on that list is a terrorist? Who makes that decision? Ashcroft’s refusal to turn over those names is in the very essence of the Constitution and should cause the Supreme Court to reconsider the “Brady Bill” and other laws like it. After all terrorist usually use box cutters or bombs to attack innocents’ guns just don’t do enough damage for a real terrorist. If this doesn’t shine the light on the Democrats and their attempt to rule this country with the hand of a dictator then what will. President Bush needs to wake up and see that his new tone is just not working. I just don’t understand why Bush with the approval that he has doesn’t undo some of the things that the Democrats did the past years and give us back the freedoms that have been stolen. Some of the laws I would like to see reversed are all of the gun laws that have been written over the last sixty years. Affirmative Action is nothing more that government sponsored racism that too needs to be sent to the legislative scrap heap. I could go on and on but I don’t want to stay that late, besides I think you get the idea. Now look at what the Democrats have done are
doing and what has been done by Usama bin Laden. Seems to me that they are
trying for the same goal. That is why I have titled this editorial “Usama bin
Laden a Leading Democrat”. Sincerely,
